Andrew Bennet
Founder/Director & Master Coach
Andrew Bennett is the Director and Founder of Tamarack Beach Volleyball Club. Andrew comes to Tamarack with Beach coaching certifications from the FIVB and USA Volleyball.
He is the Current Head Beach Volleyball Coach at Mira Costa College.
Andrew was the AVCA National Club Director of the Year in 2021. He was the Head Coach of the ISF World Championship Gold Medal Winning Tamarack Team of Alden and Hagenah in France in 2022. He was also the Head Coach of Tamarack Black in 2020, 2021 and 2022 where they were Ranked #1 and #2 in the USA.
A former Division I Men’s Volleyball Coach, NAIA Women's coach, Andrew also won 2nd in the State as the Beach Volleyball Head Coach at Mira Costa College in 2018.
He brings over 20years of beach coaching experience as well as decades of playing experience both on the beach and indoor to Tamarack.
Ryan McDevitt
Coach/Director of Operations
Ryan McDevitt is a lifelong beach volleyball player who brings over a decade of coaching experience and unmatched positivity to the Tamarack coaching staff.
He currently serves as the Assistant Coach at Mira Costa College and was recognized as an AVCA 30 Under 30 Best Beach Coach in the United States in 2021.
Throughout his coaching career, Ryan has helped develop numerous national championship pairs and continues to be passionate about athlete growth both on and off the sand.
Kyle Kobernus CSCS
Owner - Ignite Strength and Conditioning
Kyle is the owner of Ignite Strength and Conditioning and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. A former collegiate and professional baseball player, Kyle played at both the college and professional levels before transitioning into performance training and athlete development.
With a background in Exercise and Sport Science from Judson University, Kyle has spent years working with athletes of all levels, including MLB players, Division I athletes, and elite high school competitors. Since moving to California in 2018, he has continued to build a reputation for helping athletes improve strength, performance, and long-term athletic development through high-level training and coaching.
